beAlert is an extension of Blockade focused on helping agencies and citizens prepare, respond and recover from Emergency situations. Agencies would be provided with a web portal to broadcast alerts, set road conditions, and communicate the latest updates.

Citizens would use the mobile app to receive important informations, steps to protect their families and share safety check status.

When launching an alert, clients could use the web portal mapping system to indicate the location or zone of the emergency, for mobile app users to avoid.
Each alerts would be categorized based on a number of factors like severity or expected response. A mobile app user could customize which levels would send him notifications.
The Safety Check feature would be an ideal tool for companies or building administrators who need to check on their staff after an emergency. App users would respond whether they are safe or needing help to initiate the proper response.
The powerful mapping system could also be used to create routes and assign status to them such as normal, closure, construction and so on. It can also be used to communicate evacuation routes.
